We had such a fun time today! Audriana had two games again this Saturday and Sofia had one...so needless to say, we were running from Plantes Ferry fields in the morning, to Sofia's game up on the South hill, and back out to the valley for Audriana's 2nd game at Trentwood Elementary. She played a really good first game and I noticed that she was playing more like her old self....I saw a glimpse of some of her confidence return and she was really playing with her heart in the game! During her 2nd game later that afternoon, I noticed that the glimpse of confidence was back....she was agressively moving towards the ball and doing her best to get that ball down the field. Well, her hard work paid off because she finally scored -- twice!!! I can't tell you how hard this new team has been for her...and how hard it has been for us to watch her stuggle a bit. We have watched her confidence level go so low with this team, it has been so weird! She is still 8 -- all the other girls are 9, going on 10, so they are considered U10. Her coach has them playing "up" so they are actually playing girls that are 11, 12, and 13! The girls on her team are very good players who have played together for many years and she has struggled. We keep telling her that she is just as good as the rest of her team -- and she is! She was so proud of her two goals -- with each one, she looked over to Martin and I and just smiled her small, quiet, little smile. Grandma was there to see it, too. We were all so proud of her -- cheering her on was the highlight of our day!

Not to be outdone.....Anna Ackerman scored a goal today too! We were so proud of our girls today! NICE JOB!
The team won both of their games today....their first wins of the season! Go Black Widows!
