Sofia's hair today....

Sofia is my girl that loves to do her own hair.  She doesn't like me to brush it and I can't braid or do anything fun to her hair anymore.  She's always had her own style and even at the age of 3, she was clipping flowers and ribbons onto her headbands.  She always has at least 1 flower in her hair everyday.  She's my little hair fashion-ista!!!!

Our trip to Montana and Yellowstone!

The girls had so much fun training Rosie for their dog show each evening.  Rosie was such a sport....jumping and going through the obstacle course that they set up for her.  Lots of grins and giggles from the girls...and lots of treats for Rosie (who was happy to do whatever they wanted as long as she saw the treat in their hand!).  Very fun!
On Sunday we left the house by 8am and were inside the park by 8:30 or so.  The air was cool and felt so good.  We knew that as they day wore on, it would be much warmer, so we were happy to enjoy the nice cool weather.  We headed through the Rosevelt Arch and up to Mamouth.  From there we headed toward the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.  Such a breathtaking and beautiful site to see!

School shopping is tough work!

School shopping for Audriana is super easy -- some Under Armour shirts, shorts, jeans and regular t-shirts -- and she's good to go. I can even buy everything without her being with me! Sofia is a different story....she is super picky and ...
has to "ok" anything that we buy.....trendy jeans, short shorts, halter tops (bedazzled with gem stones), and a Nerdy Elmo t-shirt! Geesh! She's 6...going into 1st grade....I'm afraid of the years ahead of me! LOL!

A special day with my Sofia!

Since Martin is still away in Nicaragua (from July 24th - Aug 19th), I am taking an entire week off to spend with the girls.  On Monday, Sofia and I dropped Audriana and Cooper off at camp for the day, so we decided to have a fun girls day together.  We met Aunt Kristi for lunch at the Davenport (for our favorite $5 lunch!), then walked down to Riverpark Square and did some school shopping.  Then we went to Hi Tek Nails in the mall and got matching pedicures!  So fun!  Since mine took longer, the painted her nails, too.  She just loved it!  It was so fun to see the smile on her face and watch her enjoy this experience -- it's really a right of passage for a little girl!

Sofia decided that because I was taking pictures of her, that she needed to take a picture of me sitting in the massage chair while I got my pedicure done.  So fun!  Thanks Sofia!

Look at my beautiful Sofia!  She is just loving all the attention!  She even got flowers painted onto her big toes!  And me, too!!!

And....while Sofia and I were enjoying our special day together, Audriana and Cooper were enjoying their first day at CAMO CAMP!  This was a fun opportunity for Audriana....Cooper was signed up, but really wanted a buddy to go with, so Kerri called me and asked if Audriana would be interested in going with Cooper.  After hearing about it, I knew she would be thrilled to go!  It is a week-long camp that goes from 9am - 4:30 every day.  There are about 25 kids.....and guess what?  She's the only girl!  I asked her if she was okay with that, and she said "yah...it's fine".  She's so good with that kind of stuff.  The week consists of shelter building, tye-dying, hiking, rock climbing, swimming in the river, knot tying, learning to survive in the wilderness, first aid, golf frisbie, and many other fun things.  On Friday, they are all getting on a bus and get to spend the day out at Fairchild Airforce Base!  how fun is that?!?!  What a fun summer!
