Audriana's new glasses
Audriana has been asking for these Sports Goggles for a while now, and because Spring soccer is just around the corner, we decided to go get her eyes checked and look into them. Well, I'm glad I took her in because we found out that her prescription had completely changed! Poor kid wasn't seeing very well with her old glasses anymore. We ended up getting her 2 sets of glasses -- regular ones for everyday and then her sports goggles. They take a little bit of getting used to, but I guess they are growing on me. She will just wear them for sports (practices and games). She loved them. I am really happy with her new "regular" pair, too. The pictures don't really do them justices...they look great on her. We picked them up tonight and she immediately saw a huge difference as soon as she put them on.

Mom and Jay make a stop in Granada, Nicaragua!
Mom and Jay recently returned from a fabulous 2 week cruise that took them from Long Beach, CA to Orlando, FL! They had stops in Cabo, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, thru the Panama Canal, Columbia, and Aruba! During their full day stop in Nicaragua, they were able to meet up with Martin's sister and Nephew in Granada! Isn't that so cool!?! Mom and Jay were on a bus tour and the plan was for Mayra and Martincito (little Martin) to meet up with them during their lunch stop at El Dario restaurant in Granada. Well, I guess the tour was running over an hour late, but they waited for Mom and Jay and were able to sit and chat for a bit of time before they were wisked off for more touring. I'm so happy that they could meet -- definitely a "once in a life-time" thing for all of them.

That TRICKY Leprechaun does it again!!!
A sweet and simple trap.......we really thought this year was going to be the year we caught the little bugger! We really thought that there was no way possible for him to get away! We lured him into the box with a can of 7-up and a green coin......and the plan was that the box would fall on top of him the minute he tried to get inside -- pretty clever idea that Audriana had to rig it with some Tinker Toys! Well, we went to bed after we set the trap.....we were just sure we would wake up to a caught Leprechaun. The girls woke up early (of course, ugh!) and were dissappointed yet again this year....that tricky Leprechaun escaped again! And this is how we found the box.......
He somehow got inside the box, took the green coin, and left the girls a box of Lucky Charms! He then set up the Tinker Toys again and wrote a cute little note to the girls with green frosting. He also left 4 leaf clovers made out of green frosting in their bathroom sink, on the kitchen counter, on the stove, in the kitchen sink and on top of the peanut butter lid!
The girls knew that I was not happy about the Leprechaun leaving us sugar cereal....which made it even more special for them!
He left these little 4 leaf clovers all over -- what a mess I had to clean up!
When we opened up the fridge, we discovered that he also turned our milk green! Yuck! But, he was also nice enough to leave the girls 2 lime yogurts to go with their Lucky Charms breakfast!
He may be a tricky Leprechaun, but he pretty nice, too!

It's Karen Keith Gillis!

My dear friend from high school, Karen Keith, lives in Anchorage, but was in town this weekend to visit her mom and sister. I was so thrilled to be able to meet up with her for a leisurely breakfast at Chaps this morning! We talked and got caught up on our lives -- it was so wonderful to see her again! I just love staying connected with the people from my childhood that really meant something to me! She is still just as funny and wonderful as she ever was! LOVE HER!
