Ice Skating with GU11 United friends at Riverfront Park!

Audriana had 3 of her soccer friends stay the night last night -- Bailey, Emily and Sailor.  The girls had a blast!  They had fun helping Martin make their "sleeping fort" in the family room with the couch, blankets, pillows etc.   They played Just Dance 4, board games, made music downstairs with the piano, drums and shakers....then I got them all ready to head out to watch a late game at the Indoor Soccer Center.  Martin and some of the other United parents put together an indoor soccer team and tonight was their first game.  No practices and varying levels of skill -- they lost the game, but it was so fun to watch.  The girls and I didn't get home until about 11:15pm or so and they all went straight to the fort and to sleep.  In the morning I made french toast and bacon for everyone.  Then we headed out to Riverfront Park for some fun ice skating.  Emily, Sailor and Bailey had never been on skates before.........and they did amazing!  I couldn't believe how easy it was for them to just step onto the ice and go!  They skated for over 2 hours (Audriana and Sofia actually had lessons before the free-skate, so they were on the ice almost 3 hours!).  Such a fun memory for us all!

Fun that Loni brought Katie and Haley G. down to skate with us, too!  What a great group of girls we have!  They laughed and laughed and had so much fun.

Family Game Night with the Lunds! Yay!

What could be more fun than having Sunday dinner with friends and game playing?!?!  Martin and I had a great time cooking together and we came up with some great enchiladas to feed the gang.  We had shredded chicken, pork and green chili, hamburger and cheese, and bean and cheese enchiladas -- Denise brought Spanish rice to compliment, plus a veggy tray and chips and salsa.  Enough to feed an army!  The kids played Clue Jr., Kerplunk, and Pin the Horn on the Unicorn (handmade of course by A and S)...but the big hit of the night was the Wii games.  Just Dance 4 was a big hit, plus Wii hula-hooping and ski jumping.

Sofia and Addy (her special friend).....glamming it up and having a ball!

Just having some girly fun!  We had a "Spa Night" (Sofia's request) and invited her bestie Addy!  I gave them pedicures, manicures, did their makeup and hair.....and wha-la!  Beautiful and Glamorous girls!

Smiley's birthday party! And then off to ice skating!

Haley invited Audriana to her slumber party to celebrate  her 11th birthday!  The girls spent the night at the Courtyard, had pizza, swam, and played games.  Sofia and I picked up Audriana the next morning at 9:30.....just in time to get them to the Riverfront Park Ice Palace for ice skating at 10am!

Happy New Years Eve 2012!

What a fun New Years Eve!  First we traveled up to Mt. Spokane and did some tubing with the girls.  Then we all came home and took naps....we wanted to make sure we could all stay up to ring in the New Year!  Unexpectedly, the girls got invited to a sleepover at Nikki Hindman's house.  We struggled with that decision because we have never been away from our girls on NYE.  But, the girls were pretty excited about it and really wanted to go -- they were going to have a fun kids party, stay up till midnight, make smores, and then go sledding the next day.  Martin and I were suddenly faced with being "child-less" for the night!  We haven't gone outfor NY's since before Audriana was born!  We called Kristi and set up a plan to meet up with Patty and Chad Wilhite for the night.  We all enjoyed a couple of glasses of champagne at Kristi's house, then had 6:45 reservations at Twigs for dinner.  We had wine, apps, and yummy prime rib for dinner!  We stayed until 10pm, then went home and rang in the new year together!
Happy 2013 everyone!
