Spokane Interstate Fair 2012 - Day 2!
We enjoyed our 2nd time out to the fair this year -
- this time, the girls and I came with Aunt Kristi, Kendra and Addy! We had so much fun! The girls had soccer games, so we didn't actually get out there until about 4pm or so. We spent a lot of time visiting all the animals and the 4H displays. We then had dinner (love our Fair food!) and then headed into the arena to see the Monster Trucks. Aunt Kristi and Audriana had purchased their tickets a few days ago and had nice seats down in front. Sofia, Kendra, Addy and I were sitting in the General Admission seats up above, but soon moved down near Kristi and Audriana because there were some open seats. Wow -- that was awesome to be so close to these huge trucks. It was definitely loud, but it was an experience! We all enjoyed ourselves so much! We decided that we would do it again next year!
At the Monster truck show! Soon after I took this picture, we moved down near Audriana and Kristi and landed ourselves in the very front row!!!!!
How funny that we ran into Skylar and Haylie G.!

Spokane Interstate Fair 2012 - Day 1!
Our first day out this year to the Fair this year -- and it was a hot one! About 90 degrees or so. We spent the afternoon and evening (Rodeo!) with Mom and Jay, Patty and Chad, and Marissa and Bryan. The PRCA Rodeo did not dissapoint -- we all had a great time together.
Omg -- these huge plastic balls were a big hit with the girls this year. They just loved it! Reminded me of those hampster exercise wheels -- except for kids! Hahaha!
The girls went on this fun ride together that made it seem and feel like they were flying! A first for them on this ride. Sofia just barely made it in at 48" exacctly! Whew!
We all loved looking at all the beautiful flowers in the Flower Exhibit Hall. The girls found their favorite ones and posed for a picture next to it. They acutally had quite a few favorites....we all did. They were just amazing!
The girls even got to make their own piece of rope! They had a simple display where they could pick out their yarn (for color) and then combine it with some twine, and turn the handle and presto! Rope! Mom knew the guy who was doing the demonstration, so I think we got a bit of preferential treatment! She knows so many people out at the fair!

First day of 1st and 4th grade at Mullan Rd Elementary!
The girls were excited and ready to head out to Mullan Rd this morning. I always take the first day of school off, so I was able to get them ready this morning...make a yummy breakfast (breakfast burritos).....make their lunches (actually, Audriana made her own!)....drive them to school and take lots of pictures! I have to say, I am so dang proud of these two girls. This was Sofia's very first day at Mullan Rd and she really surprised me with her confidence -- she was calm, cool, and collected and definitely ready to get the year started! Since we had visited her classroom last week and met her teacher, she knew just where to go and exactly where her desk was. She hung up her backpack, sat at her table and started working on the coloring sheet that was in front of her. Wow...first grade! Audriana on the other hand, was an old pro at this! She was excited for Sofia, but she was super excited to get to her classroom on the upper level of Mullan Rd (4th, 5th, and 6th grades are up). We had already seen her class list, so she knew that her best friend, Havala (pictured below with her) was in her class. She was so happy about that. Her other best friend, Cooper, was also in her class again this year! Yay! I took her upstairs to her classroom and we met Mrs. Berg together -- what a great lady! I've heard nothing but awesome things about her, so I am excited to see how the year progresses. She does a lot of "co-teaching" with the other 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Winters. Their classrooms are next door to each other and have a folding wall between that they can open up and have 1 big classroom.
Audriana's teacher: Mrs. Berg!
Sofia has Mrs. Yonago, another teacher that I have heard only great things about. I think Sofia is really going to like her and her classroom!
