Palouse Wheat Fields 2012 -- with Aunt Kristi this year!

Oh my gosh....I just loved every one of these pictures.....so I am posting them all!  We stopped just off the Palouse Hwy (near Baltimore) and it took all of about 10 minutes to shoot these awesome pictures!  I am so thrilled that they turned out so well.  I was worried about the lighting, but even that seemed to turn out ok.
Every year since Audriana was a baby, I have had their pictures taken with Aunt Kristi at Kiddie Kandids.  We have each years picture in a special frame, with all the past years behind the new one.  We love to look through them all and she how much the girls have grown.  They love their Aunt Kristi so much and this is such a special thing for them to do with her -- we look forward to it all year long!  Well, this year, when I called to make the appointment, I found out that they had closed!  And since I always like to take pictures of the girls in the wheat fields each year, I decided to kill two birds with one stone and took them together.  Aren't they adorable?!?!?!

Labor Day Weekend 2012!

Silverwood, Jay's Cabin, and Splashdown -- all in one weekend!

Audriana earned her ticket to Silverwood again this year from reading at Mullan Rd.....Sofia was lucky enough to get a ticket "gifted" to her from our neighbors who were not going to use it.  So after paying for Martin and I to get in ($75!), we thought we would get our money's worth and stay the entire day, from opening to closing.....and we did!  What a fun family day!  The weather was just about perfect at about 78 degrees or so, but it sure got cool as soon as the sun went down.  We were all still wet from the water park, too, so I had to go back out to the car to get dry clothes and our coats so we could stay till closing.  Lynda, Caleb and Nikki joined in on the fun with us, too, and we all had a blast.  The magic show was great, plus the rides and water park, too!
Our first ride was the Log Ride.....it never gets old....one of my favorites!

Can you believe that I went on Tremors, Timber of Terror and the Panic Plunge?!?!?  I can't!  So glad I did because I really did love it -- and Sofia wanted to go on all the scary rides this year because she is finally 48", which gets her on all the rides!

This group shot includes Lynda's friends, Marci, Roger, and Paige (who is Sofia's age).  We all had fun going on the Thunder Canyon Water ride -- if you look closely you will see that we are all SOAKED!  Hahahaha!  Such great memories!

Then on to the Bumper Boats!  They just LOVED this ride!

Lynda took the kids down this huge water slide -- so fun!

On the train that goes around the entire Silverwood property -- it was dark and the moon was a brilliant, full, harvest moon!  It was a gorgeous end to a fabulous day together!

The whole group after our dinner at Lindy's....Lynda, Caleb and Nikki, plus Martin, me, Audriana and Sofia!  What a fun day - but we were sure tired!  We arrived at 11am (opening) and didn't leave until 10pm (closing)!
Goodbye Silverwood!  On to Grandpa's cabin!

Hello lake Pend O'Reille!

It was fun walking with Grandma around the loop!  We went around 2 times, which is just about 2 miles!  Martin did 5 miles!!!!

Audriana walking Ginger around the loop!

Now off to Sandpoint!  Walking, strolling, window shopping.....and then we stopped at the beach and let the girls play in the water for a while.  Jay stayed home to rest, but my Mom came with us and we had such a fun and relaxing time.

Then back to the cabin and Jay bbq'd hamburgers for us!  Actually, that ended up being our back up plan because the chicken that I brought for us to bbq was bad!  Ugh!  Yuck!  It smelled so bad when I opened the package to prepare it......gross....haven't had that happen in a long, long time!  Anyway, thank goodness mom had some hamburger patties in the freezer!  We added corn on the cob, watermelon and some potato chips and we had a great dinner!  :)

Audriana and Ginger -- Lake Pend OReille!

Me and my babies!!!!!

Monday (Labor Day) at Splash Down!  Yahoo!

It's been a tradition for 3 years now that we go on Labor Day -- which is the last day of the park's season.  It is virtually empty and the kids got to ride all the slides as much as they wanted, without waiting in any lines.  It was so great!  Labrea, Carson and Conner (and their friends, Elle and Eugene) joined us again and the kids all had fun together.  Sofia had no problem going down every single slide....even the fastest and scariest one - the Hard Ball, which drops them 6 stories in a matter of seconds!  She is such a dare devil!
