Audriana had really grown out of her old bike -- and she has just been begging for a new one. So, we thought it was time for a lesson in: "We can't just buy everything that you want. Bikes cost a lot of money. We can't just go to a store and buy the first bike that you want. You need to research and shop around to make sure you are getting a good price and a good deal". How about that? Audriana understands all that. She takes after her dad. The first place she wanted to look was Ebay....and then Goodwill...and then Walmart.....She did a bit of research on line and found a really great deal at Walmart.com. So, she scrounged up all of her money (quarters and change included) and reminded me that I still owed her quite a bit of allowance, and came up with the $88 plus tax that she would need to buy the bike. Her dad drove her around to a bunch of stores looking at bikes and she decided that the best deal was the one at Walmart. Here she is with her new bike (26" wheels!). She can't even touch the ground, but her thought process was that she was going to be able to "grow into this bike so it would last longer". A good deal for sure!
