The Christmas lights at the Manito Park Conservatory! Beautiful!

Another tradition with the Lund family.....going to Manito Park to see the Conservatory all lit up in Christmas lights.  They spend 5 weeks stringing over 36,000 lights all over every single plant and tree!  There must be 500 poinsettias of every variety and it is OH SO BEAUTIFUL!  They only offer this fantastic free light show for a few nights each December and we have enjoyed it each and every year.

Great picture of Denise and her mom, Irene!  We were so glad she could make it with us this year!

Soccer Mom and Daughter Christmas party!

What a fun afternoon with our United GU 11 Soccer girls and moms!  Kari Baxter was so wonderful to open up her house for all of us to gather (11 girls and 11 moms....missing only Dori, Rachel and Bailey).  We brought cookies for a cookie exchange, which turned out to be so much fun...lots of different Christmas treats to share and take home.  We also each brought an ornament to exchange....which was also a ton of fun!  The girls learned quickly the art of this game in which we all pick numbers and get to open an ornament in number order....stealing ornaments along the way and creating a ton of laughter and fun.  After the girls were finished, Audriana handed out the ornaments that we had made for each of her teamates.  I will post a picture of it soon....but they all loved it!  After the girls were done, the mom's got to do our ornament exchange.  It was such a wonderful time to find time to be together in such a busy time of year....this is a team that is so close and all of us moms, too!  It's very special and we all know it -- it is something we all hold close and treasure.  Thanks United Robles GU 11 girls and moms!!!

Riverside State Park Bowl and Pitcher -- A Winter Wonderland!

Bowl and Pitcher at Riverside State Park is a place you might visit during the summer months.....not the cold, dark, winter days of December!  Denise read about this fundraiser that the park was putting on this weekend -- $5 per person got  us into a Winter Wonderland tonight!  There was about an inch or two of fresh snow on the ground, which made it just so perfect.  There were lights strung up to light the paths that led us down the hill to Santa!  There was also hot cocoa, hay rides and bonfires to keep warm.  It was a neat thing to do on a cold and snowy night!
