4th of July 2012! Family fun and the Indians game and a really cool fireworks show!

We followed tradition again this year and had a bbq with the Sandbergs, and then went out to the Spokane Indians ballpark for a baseball game followed by a great fireworks show!  Mom and Jay were able to make it over for dinner with us, too!  Martin bbq'd some yummy steak, pork and sausages -- paired with some tortillas and all the fixins for fajitas and tacos.  It was so yummy!
The girls were so excited this year to show off their new fort to the boys!  Martin and the girls have been working all week to get it finished so it would be ready to show their cousins.  They all get along together so well.  Such good friends!

How cute are the cousins?!?!  A happy crew -- just happy to be together!
Even though Jay was still not feeling well, he and Mom made it over to our house to enjoy  the nice dinner that we put together.  Mom brought the best potato salad (all us adults had at least 2 helpings!) and her jello was a home run with the kids!  Too bad they couldn't join us for the baseball game.....but once Jay is feeling better, we all decided that we would do it again.

Ready for the Spokane Indians game!  They've got their mits in case they catch a foul ball!  Good luck!

Here we all are.....what a crew!

Ryan and Audriana.  We had rows 1 and 2 in Left Field 3.  Pretty good seats!

Oh my gosh....I just had to document this.  Martin recently had his hair braided....his reasoning?  Well...he said that it the first time in 30 years that he has had his hair long....and that it wouldn't be long much longer (getting a haircut when he finally gets to Nicaragua in a couple of weeks)....and he's always wanted to have his hair braided....so he just did it!

Our patriotic Sofia....

Lisa and Scott -- what a cute picture!

She is so ready to catch a foul ball!

Why do all the kids love Martin so much?!?!?  He's so awesome!

Taking her turn at the batting cage....she did pretty good, too!

 Our crew......
After the game, we sat and watched the fireworks show from our stadium seats.  This is our 3rd or 4th year doing this and we just love it!  The Indians really do put on a great show -- and the best part is that everyone has a seat and it is over in about 20 minutes! We were home by 10pm tonight!
Audriana documented the entire show by recording it on her IPOD....

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY EVERYONE!
