Silverwood 2013 with soccer friends -- Audriana, Taryn, Emily, Brooklyn, Sailor and Sofia!

After a fun slumber party at Sailor's on Friday night, the girls headed up to Silverwood early Saturday morning for a full day of fun and roller coaster rides.  Thanks to Kyla and Jamie Kaiser for taking the 5 of them up!  Sofia had her last soccer game of the season, so she and I drove up after that and joined the girls at about 1pm.  We closed the park down after a full afternoon of riding all the rides we could.  There were many buses from Spokane middle schools up there, so it was pretty busy, but that didn't deter the girls at all.  It did rain a bit, and was kinda chilly at times, but fun nonetheless.  All the girls loved the roller coasters except for Emily, so she and I rode Thunder Canyon (water ride....brrrr!!), the Log Ride (another water ride...brrrr!) and the Parachute ride that takes you up high like the ferris wheel!  Jamie Kaiser and I even did the Panic Plunge!  By the way, Sofia went on every ride with them....loved every single roller coaster!

Sofia's soccer season.....she's a heck of player!

Thank You to Coach Keith for helping Sofia hone her soccer skills this season!  He patiently taught her the art of being a "team player" and "passing the ball!".  She did so well this season!

Audriana really comes alive with Spring soccer -- winning Player of the Game 2 times in 1 weekend!

 Rik gives out small soccer balls after each game to the player or players that he feels played well and made an impact in the game.  Audriana has been wanting to get this title all season long and she got it twice this weekend!  Literally, the last two games of the season -- and she desered both of them so much!  We wer so proud of her!

That tricky Leprechaun foiled us again!!!!



 

The girls worked hard on their Leprechaun trap this year -- and we had Audriana's friend, Sailor, here to help!  The rigged it up with lots of Tinker Toys, then added in the trip wire (red string) across all the entrances.  They lured him up the stairs with gold coins, all the way up to the trap.  The had the pot of gold inside the box and when the Lephrachaun tried to get it, he would trip over the wires, which would knock down the Tinker Toys, and drop on top of him!  Sounded like a well-thought out plan.....but....alas....it just didn't happen that way.  When the girls woke up this morning, that tricky Leprechaun has moved the entire trap up on top of the dining table and had the pot of gold up on top of the box!  When the girls lifted the box, they found a box of Lucky Charms cereal, Limeade, green grapes, and green gummy frogs!  Wow!  Well, they were at least happy to have the candy and the sugar cereal!  LOL!

This is what the girls found when they woke up this morning.....the gummy frogs leading the way into the trap where they found the cereal, grapes, and limeade!  They also each got a green notebook, pencil and a shamrock cookie, too!
