That tricky Leprechaun foiled us again!!!!

| The girls worked hard on their Leprechaun trap this year -- and we had Audriana's friend, Sailor, here to help! The rigged it up with lots of Tinker Toys, then added in the trip wire (red string) across all the entrances. They lured him up the stairs with gold coins, all the way up to the trap. The had the pot of gold inside the box and when the Lephrachaun tried to get it, he would trip over the wires, which would knock down the Tinker Toys, and drop on top of him! Sounded like a well-thought out plan.....but....alas....it just didn't happen that way. When the girls woke up this morning, that tricky Leprechaun has moved the entire trap up on top of the dining table and had the pot of gold up on top of the box! When the girls lifted the box, they found a box of Lucky Charms cereal, Limeade, green grapes, and green gummy frogs! Wow! Well, they were at least happy to have the candy and the sugar cereal! LOL! |
This is what the girls found when they woke up this morning.....the gummy frogs leading the way into the trap where they found the cereal, grapes, and limeade! They also each got a green notebook, pencil and a shamrock cookie, too!

Outdoor practice with United Black Widows!
It is a sure sign that Spring is around the corner when Coach Rik has the girls practicing outside again. The weather is still very cold -- and is seriously icy-cold when the wind blows...but the girls are happy to be outside again doing what they love the most! Soccer!

I told my girls that they needed to dress up for Church today....oh my how different that statement looks to each girl. Audriana pulled out her "best" Nike sweatshirt and her "nice" black Levis....Sofia, on the other hand, pulls out her brand new dress that grandma bought her yesterday and asks me to put her hair up in a fancy bun! I love these girls so much -- but I especially love how different they are. Isn't that what makes the world go 'round?

Sofia's favorite hairstyle -- THE BUN!
My little Sofia just loves having her hair done.....and most recently, it's been a bun that she wants me to do for her. We bought a "Sock Bun" kit at Trading Company and it really worked well on her hair! It's kinda like a little sock in the shape of a donut that helps form the bun and is actually underneath all her hair! I did it one day before school and took these pictures before I left for work at 6:45am When I got home that night, I was surprised to see that it really looked just as good as when I had left her that morning. Amazing! (although, I did use quite a few bobbi pins!).

Another fun weekend with soccer friends!
Ice skating again this Saturday with some of Audriana's soccer friends. Jayme Carter and I decided to make Saturday be a FUN-DAY....and it was! Audriana, Sofia, Bailey, Hannah, Katie, Lily, Emily, Brooklyn and Sailor joined in on the fun. After ice skating we went to Red Robin for lunch -- then on to Sky High for an hour of jumping. OMGsh! What a day! We were all saying "BEST DAY EVER!"
